BENTLEY

Bentley had a full physical and a referral to a veterinary dermatologist.   During his physical, our veterinarian noted that Bentley had very severe dental disease.  He had a great deal of infection/bacteria in his mouth as well as other areas of his skin.  A plan was made for Bentley to have a dental cleaning and surgery to unfortunately remove many of his teeth.  However, a dermatology visit needed to happen first.  The dermatologist found severe (bacteria) ear infections as well as infection in some other areas of his skin.  It is believed that these infections could be related/caused by Bentley’s severe dental disease.  So, Bentley was started on several medications to help with the infections throughout his body.  Bentley has now had his dental and his mouth feels much better with no infection.  His ears are clearing up and his skin and coat are beautiful.  Bentley was on eye medication for his eyes when he came into rescue which we continue to administer.   A follow up appointment with the dermatologist will happen soon and we will know Bentley’s  treatment plan going forward.  Then, he will be posted for adoption. 

Bentley is on his way to a happy and healthy life and will soon be ready for his forever home!
